As a software company we have done work across various domains for several organisations. However, when I sat down to write an article with the title ‘Shine the light...’, I chose to write about our work done for the Paint Industry as I believe light, colours and paint have a close relationship.
As per current statistics, the Indian paint industry business is worth more than Rs 70,000 crores today and is expected to reach Rs 100,000 crores, soon. It is a huge number of course, and yet the lion's share lies with a few major paint companies. However, there must be over 3,000 middle level and smaller paint companies competing hard in the market, again, mostly amongst themselves.

While we have witnesses digital enablement in almost all walks of our life today, there exists a lag, when we look at the Paint Industry on the whole and the SME segment and the painter community in particular.
How can the Paint business move closer to the consumers, independent of the conventional approaches? Cutting right through the existing stagnation, we have launched a software for Digital Colour Visualisation — ColourWizard.
How often, one would have regretted choosing a wrong colour, after an expensive painting job is completed? With our software, you can browse a wide range of colour options on a digital photograph of your beautiful home before choosing your final line-up of colours. The digital colour-trial can be completed from the comfort of your home and with your entire family participating in the process.
The success of the software lies in a recent account of how a housing society was able to finalise their preferred colours in a matter of a few hours, using our software. The process involving multiple people and their diverse choices, could’ve delayed the painting job, but for the app.
This software establishes a customer connect and also boasts several other advantages. To mention a few: Lesser time spent on discussions and hence a quick win, an edge over competition, an effective method for products promotion and awareness. It empowers sales teams and dealers alike — no more guess work, an improved method to track sales pipelines etc.
