The wait is over. The winners of the Telangana Industry Awards 2021 have been selected after a rigorous selection process. The Telangana Industry Awards recognise the best businesses in the State across six categories. For the fourth consecutive year, the Government of Telangana has leveraged the GlobalLinker platform to host these annual awards for SMEs -- right from the application to  judging process. And today we are revealing the winners in the category of ‘Best Start-up’.

 

But first, here is what some of the illustrious jury members have to say about the participating businesses and selection process.

 

It is heartening to see the industrial growth in Telangana through companies which are not only innovative but also have sustainability built into their fabric. The future belongs to such companies which not only create wealth for themselves but are also socially responsible.

Gold - Maithri Aquatech Pvt. Ltd.

Maithri Aquatech is a home-grown start-up based in Hyderabad who have developed MEGHDOOT, which is capable of generating clean, drinking water literally from thin air. To date, the company has generated over 100 million litres of water from air,  saving over 200 million litres of scarce groundwater and surface water resources. Maithri Aquatech has provided solutions across India, the Gulf, South-East Asia and Africa, and is helping communities, organisations and economies transform from being net consumers to being net producers of water.​

 

Silver - Befach 4x Pvt. Ltd.

Befach has developed D'Cal which is an innovative Hard Water Softener. For this innovation, the company has received two awards from the Government of India. The main USP of this innovation is that it requires No Electricity, No Water wastage and no maintenance. In the country, where we are under a water crisis, the hardness of the water adds to that issue. The D’Call device needs to be inserted in the borewell and provides over 3Lakh Litres of softened water. 

 

Bronze - Hesa Technologies Pvt. Ltd.

Hesa is a Rural Tech start-up which is redefining rural commerce by providing Last Mile Physical & Digital Connect to Rural India. The company offers a trustworthy assisted digital commerce platform supported by a physical network of village-level entrepreneurs. Agritech and fintech capabilities are combined to bridge the rural-urban divide. The company has been leveraging technology for growth in the rural areas of India.
